Clearer customer journey
Current stock, finance, part exchange, selling a car and contact information are easy to find without burying visitors in unnecessary sections.
Mike Ingram Motors is an independent used car dealer in Hindley, Wigan. The existing website had reached the point where it no longer fitted how the dealership needed to manage and present its stock online — so BuiltSocial rebuilt it from the ground up.

The existing site had served the business for years, but the dealership needed something simpler to manage, easier to use on mobile and better suited to keeping current vehicle stock front and centre.
Rather than continually patching an ageing setup, the project became a complete rebuild around the way Mike Ingram Motors actually operates.
Current stock, finance, part exchange, selling a car and contact information are easy to find without burying visitors in unnecessary sections.
The public site and stock workflow were designed with phones in mind — including uploading vehicle photographs directly from a mobile.
The homepage and showroom now reflect the vehicles actually entered into the stock system instead of relying on manually maintained placeholders.
The rebuild included technical and on-page SEO, cleaner structure and a more focused local-business experience.
This wasn't about criticising what came before. The previous website had simply reached the point where a fresh build made more sense than continuing to work around its limitations.

The biggest change sits behind the public-facing design: a bespoke vehicle manager built specifically for the dealership.
Mike can add a vehicle, enter its details and upload photographs — including directly from a phone. Once saved, the website handles where that stock appears.
Vehicles feed into the showroom, get their own listing pages and the latest arrivals can appear automatically on the homepage. When the stock changes, the website changes with it.
Enter the useful sales information through a straightforward stock-management screen.
Add vehicle images from desktop or directly from a phone while at the dealership.
The vehicle becomes part of the live stock system without manually rebuilding pages around it.
The goal wasn't to give Mike Ingram Motors more technology to manage. It was to give the business less to manage.
The finished site gives customers a clearer way to browse available vehicles while giving the dealership a straightforward way to keep that information current.
A small-business website built around the business — rather than asking the business to work around the website.
Sometimes that means a simple static site. Sometimes it means building the one useful bit your business genuinely needs. Either way, we start with the problem rather than the platform.
